What is The Drop?

The Drop is a free app for New Yorkers that sends you notifications about free things happening near you right now — pop-ups, brand giveaways, free food, beauty samples, culture events, and more.

How much does The Drop cost?

The Drop is completely free to use. All events listed on the app are free to attend.

Why does the app need my location?

We use your location to show events near you and sort them by distance. Your location is processed on your device and is never stored on our servers or shared with third parties.

How do push notifications work?

When you enable notifications, we'll alert you about free events happening near your selected neighborhoods. You can customize your notification preferences or disable them at any time in your device settings.

Can I post updates about an event?

Yes! When you're at an event, tap "I'm Here" to share live updates with other users. Updates are anonymous — only your display name (if set) is shown. You can include text and photos.

How do I save an event?

Tap the heart icon on any event card to save it to your list. You can also add events to your calendar by tapping the calendar icon.

How do I report inappropriate content?

Tap the flag icon next to any live update to report it. You can also report content or contact us directly through our contact form.

How do I delete my data?

Since The Drop doesn't require account creation, your data is minimal and anonymous. If you'd like us to delete any data associated with your device, please contact us at anabhoyrul@gmail.com and include your device type and approximate date of first use.
